The following are Gloria Dei's major grant categories and goals:
Community and the Arts—Supporting projects that are local in origin and scope and that strengthen local communities. Gloria Dei also seeks to support artistic projects that are creative, inspiring, and enriching.
Education—Funding innovative educational projects that provide learning and vocational opportunities to those who would otherwise lack them.
Evangelism/Discipleship/Outreach—Spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need of hope and transformation.
Health needs of the poor—Providing medical care and resources, as well as health education, for those with few or no health resources.
Justice and Public Policy—Offering advocacy and aid to poor and disenfranchised families, persecuted Christians, refugees, and other victims of political oppression and natural disasters.
Sanctity of Life—Promoting alternatives to abortion, as well as neo-natal care for mothers and infants.
